Sirius Childcare founded in 2025. With a combined experience of 27 years between Donna and Gavin in residential care , both been recognised for thier outstanding ratings by Ofsted in various settings seeing the need for high quality care. Their passion for child development and commitment to nurturing environments led to the creation of Sirius Childcare – a place where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to build a brighter future.

Opening in March 2025, Sirius Child Care is set to establish a new standard in child support and development. Providing safe and nurturing accommodation, designed to offer both professional support and a homelike atmosphere. This environment ensures each child receives expert care while feeling completely at home.
We believe childhood should be a time of joy, security, and meaningful growth—where every young person feels valued, encouraged, and prepared for the future. Through compassionate care and tailored support, we help children build confidence, embrace challenges, and reach their full potential.
Our MISSION:
Childhood should be fun: Young people who are kept active engage more and challenge less.
Childhood should be safe: Well-trained staff, world-leading online security, robust procedures and strong relationships with the wider system. The cornerstones of safeguarding.
Childhood should be happy: Positive experiences are the key to recovery. Therapeutically guided care supports the process.
Childhood should prepare: Learning, in all its forms, is the only way to maximise potential.
Childhood should challenge: Confidence is achieved by pushing your limits.
Our Ethos and Vision:
Fun: All our placements receive one to one staffing as a minimum to ensure young people can have access to their choice of individual or group activities with enhanced activity allowances to promote choice and broaden horizons.
Safe: Only properly vetted well trained staff will work with our young people, rolling programs of training ensure that knowledge is up to date. As a result, we have high expectations of our staff. We have sourced world leading online security specialising in provision to children’s homes. Our partners are our allies when keeping children safe.
Happy: Progress can only be made when young people are settled and happy. Nothing is more important than the wellbeing of our children and young people. Our staff are trained in PACE, and we have strong links with advocacy and private therapeutic services so that no child falls through the gaps in the system.
Prepare: Learning is only really possible in the right environment. Young people all learn in different ways. We will work closely with education providers and local authorities to ensure the best placement for all our children and young people.
Challenge: You can only push your limits when you have found them. Well managed positive risk taking is a part of growing up. We will actively seek out all available ways for our young people to leave their comfort zones, but the central theme will always be fun.
